In person About the Role LUXAV is hiring part-time Audio Visual Event Technicians to support live events, meetings, and hotel functions throughout Oak Brook, Deerfield, Schaumburg and nearby areas. Technical experience is valuable, but hospitality is essential. We can teach someone how to properly run cable, set equipment, and support an event. We cannot teach them to care about the guest experience, keep their commitments, or step in when the team needs help. The right person is dependable, professional, curious, and comfortable working behind the scenes to make an event successful. You will assist with equipment load-in, setup, event support, strike, and organization while representing LUXAV professionally in guest-facing hotel and venue environments. What You'll Do Load, unload, and safely handle audio, video, lighting, staging, and event equipment Assist lead technicians with event setup, testing, operation, and strike Run, tape, and organize cables neatly and safely Maintain clean, organized, and professional event spaces Greet and assist clients, venue staff, and guests with a helpful attitude Follow event plans, safety procedures, and direction from lead technicians Communicate promptly when questions, problems, or schedule conflicts arise Help inspect, organize, and return equipment after events Look for ways to help the team without waiting to be asked What Matters Most to Us You do not need to know everything about AV on your first day.

Required Qualifications Strong customer-service or hospitality mindset Dependable attendance and punctuality Professional communication and appearance in guest-facing environments Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and remain active throughout a shift Availability for a flexible event schedule, including evenings and weekends Reliable transportation to multiple suburbs Willingness to follow safety, quality, and equipment-handling standards Preferred, but Not Required Experience in any of the following is helpful: Audio visual or live event production Hotels, restaurants, catering, or guest services Stagehand or production work Warehousing, equipment handling, or event setup Basic audio, video, lighting, or cable management We will train candidates who bring the right attitude, reliability, and hospitality instincts.
