Job Description

Job Summary An Audio Video (AV) Installation Tech sets up, tests, and repairs audio, video, and automation, networks, security and camera systems in homes and commercial applictions.
Duties Install Equipment:
Mount TVs, projectors, speakers, screens, cameras, and control panels on walls or ceilings.
Run Cables:
Pull, route, and terminate wires like HDMI, Ethernet, speaker wire, and coaxial cables neatly.
Configure Systems:
Program remote controls, touch panels, and audio processors so everything works together.
Test and Troubleshoot:
Check signals, fix audio buzzes or video glitches, and make sure the system works correctly.
Train Clients:
Show customers how to use their new audio and video setup.
Wifi Networks:
Set up network switches, routers and access points to support whole house networks.
Skills Technical Knowledge:
Understanding of low-voltage wiring, signal flow, and AV networking.
Tool Proficiency:
Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and cable testers safely and correctly.
Problem-Solving:
Finding and fixing wiring errors or equipment failures quickly.
Customer Service:
Communicating clearly and politely with clients on-site.
Qualifications and Requirements Education:
High school diploma or GED; technical school or certifications (like InfoComm/AVIXA CTS) are a plus. Control 4 or other similar audio video control programming skills.
Experience:
1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in low-voltage wiring, construction, or electronics.
Physical Ability:
Ability to lift heavy gear, climb ladders, crawl in tight spaces, and stand for long hours.
Driver's License:

Pay:
$18.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 - 60.0 per week
