Job Description

Are you a hands-on AV technician, LED installer, or electrical professional ready to work on cutting-edge, large-scale visual display projects for premier venues? We are seeking a Field Technician to oversee and execute high-impact display installations for major venues, top retail brands, and flagship corporate environments nationwide.

JOB HIGHLIGHTS
Flexible Home Base:
Open to candidates living in the West / Southwest (TX, AZ, NM, CO, NV) OR Midwest (MI, OH, IL, IN, WI).
High-Travel Opportunity:
95% nationwide travel. Must live within 45 minutes of a major international airport.
Compensation & Perks:

Background:
Experience in LED, commercial AV, or electrical systems is preferred, but strong mechanical and technical aptitude is fully considered.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Site Leadership:
Lead on-site display installations, evaluate site readiness, collaborate with General Contractors, and guide local subcontractor crews on quality and safety standards.
System Configuration:
Configure, calibrate, and test advanced display panels and high-end video processors while solving technical challenges on site.
Media Integration:
Connect and calibrate displays with client AV infrastructure and head-end control systems.
Project Sign-Off:
Complete final system commissioning, conduct client walkthroughs, manage inventory logistics, and submit site documentation.
WHAT YOU BRING
Practical Aptitude:
Background in AV, LED displays, low-voltage wiring, electrical, or commercial signage (or strong overall mechanical/electrical skill).
Field Capability:
Comfort working on active construction sites, interacting with site managers, and producing clear daily documentation.
Tech-Savvy:
Strong hardware/software troubleshooting skills and proficiency with standard productivity tools.
Travel Readiness:
Ability to travel extensively, work independently, and meet project timelines with confidence.
Location Requirement:
Must live within 45 minutes of a major international airport.

Site Oversight & InstallationCollaborate with Project Managers and Field ManagersEvaluate site conditions and coordinate with General Contractors to resolve issuesLead on-site LED display installations, ensuring quality and safetyTrain subcontractors and installers on Nanolumens products and standardsTechnical ExecutionConfigure and test LED displays using Nanolumens software, NovaStar, or MegaPixelCalibrate and integrate with head-end systems and customer AV equipment working with client teams as neededTroubleshoot and problem solve installation challenges as they ariseProject CloseoutConduct final commissioning, testing, closeout reports, and sign-offComplete and submit project documentation (Daily reports, spare parts forms, inventory, etc.)Manage return of spare parts, and triage kits, and back to HQWhat You BringExperienceExperience in LED, AV, electrical, or signage industries (preferred but not required) or Strong mechanical and electrical aptitudeExperience in customer-facing field service backgroundFamiliarity with construction job sites and GC coordinationAbility to travel extensively and work independently under tight deadlines
Tech-savvy:
comfortable using Microsoft Office and industry-related toolsSkillsMechanical and electrical aptitude (low-voltage or AV wiring experience a plus)Proficiency with Microsoft Office; software/hardware troubleshooting comfortExcellent communication, time management, and site documentation skillsEducationTechnical degree or certification preferred (not required)
