AV Technician

Job Description

CO-DA is seeking a Technical Coordinator (AV Technician) to support the installation, integration, and preparation of professional audio, video, lighting, control, and network systems. This is a hands-on technical role for someone who takes pride in clean workmanship, understands system signal flow, and wants to grow into deeper technical specialization. Technical Coordinators may focus on a specialty area (such as system architecture, networking, control systems, audio, or lighting) while maintaining strong core installation skills.
Compensation Salary range:
Consideration begins at $65,000 per year, with consideration being based on experience, certifications, and specializations. Compensation is negotiable and commensurate with experience, skills, and technical specialization(s). Responsibilities Install and integrate audio, video, lighting, control, and network systems according to company standards Build, wire, and label equipment racks and devices with professional workmanship Pull, terminate, label, and route low-voltage cabling to code-compliant standards Support in-house system builds, testing, and preparation Assist with system testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning readiness Complete required documentation, photos, and job records accurately Maintain clean, safe, and organized jobsites Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors Care for company tools, vehicles, and equipment Qualifications Experience in professional AV, low-voltage, or technology integration preferred Working knowledge of signal flow and basic networking concepts Ability to follow system drawings and technical documentation Strong attention to detail and pride in quality work Reliable, organized, and professional on job sites Preferred (Not Required) Experience with platforms such as Q-SYS, Savant, Dante, Control4, Lutron, Crestron, or similar Rack build and structured cabling experience Industry certifications or willingness to pursue certifications Schedule & Requirements Full-time, Monday-Friday (occasional out-of-town travel) Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on ladders as required Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Benefits Competitive compensation with growth potential Opportunities for technical specialization and advancement Training and certification support Professional, team-oriented work environment
