Director of IT Job Description The AV Technician supports the organization?s audio-visual technology systems by installing, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting AV equipment across the property. This position ensures the successful execution of meetings, presentations, conferences, entertainment events, and other business functions by providing reliable audio, video, and presentation support. Responsibilities include supporting conference room technology, video conferencing systems, digital displays, sound systems, and live event production in a fast-paced hotel and casino environment. Candidates must be able to reliably commute or be prepared to relocate prior to their start date. Responsibilities Set up, operate, and dismantle audio-visual equipment for meetings, presentations, conferences, banquets, and special events. Install, configure, and maintain projectors, displays, microphones, sound systems, digital signage, and video conferencing equipment. Support Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, and other collaboration technologies. Troubleshoot and resolve audio, video, connectivity, and equipment issues. Monitor and maintain conference room technology to ensure readiness and functionality. Provide real-time technical support during meetings, training sessions, and live events. Perform preventative maintenance and routine testing of AV equipment and systems. Assist with installation and upgrades of conference room and event-space technologies. Ensure proper integration and connectivity between AV and network infrastructure. Maintain AV system documentation, equipment inventories, and service records. Coordinate repairs, replacements, and vendor support as necessary. Train team members on the proper use of AV equipment and meeting technologies. Ensure all AV equipment remains operational, updated, and configured according to company standards. Support digital signage, display management, and content distribution systems. Travel between company properties to support AV-related needs as required.
Skills / Experience
Experience supporting professional audio-visual equipment and systems. Knowledge of audio mixers, amplifiers, microphones, speakers, projectors, displays, and video distribution equipment. Experience supporting Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, and video conferencing technologies. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while supporting multiple priorities. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Working knowledge of network connectivity concepts as they relate to AV systems. Preferred Qualifications
AVIXA CTS
Certification preferred. Experience supporting hospitality, entertainment, casino, or event-based environments. Basic understanding of networking and structured cabling. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time throughout the casino and property. Must be able to move throughout all areas of the property, including back-of-house and public areas. Use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, and radios as needed. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Ability to climb ladders and work in elevated locations when installing or maintaining equipment. Occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions and varying temperature conditions. Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds as necessary.
