Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Audiovisual Technician/Live Events professional to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of audiovisual (AV) systems for live events and corporate functions. Your expertise will ensure seamless AV experiences that captivate audiences and support organizational objectives. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from small meetings to large-scale conferences, utilizing cutting-edge AV technology. Your technical proficiency and customer service skills will be vital in delivering high-quality event experiences while maintaining equipment reliability and safety standards. Responsibilities Install, configure, and operate AV equipment including audio systems, video conferencing systems, control systems, and digital signal processing devices for live events. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to AV system operation, software glitches, cabling, and hardware malfunctions promptly to minimize downtime. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams related to AV system installation and maintenance. Set up and manage video conferencing platforms, ensuring clear audio-visual communication for remote participants. Perform routine maintenance on AV equipment, including cabling, mechanical components, and electrical connections using hand tools and testing devices such as voltmeters. Implement audio system configurations and control system programming to meet specific event requirements. Collaborate with clients and event organizers to understand their AV needs, provide technical support during live events, and ensure a smooth execution from start to finish. Requirements Proven experience working in the AV industry with a strong understanding of audiovisual system installation, operation, and troubleshooting. Knowledge of electrical systems including low voltage wiring, telecommunication infrastructure, and electrical schematic reading. Proficiency in control system programming for AV systems as well as digital signal processing techniques. Ability to read blueprints and schematics related to AV system design and implementation. Familiarity with video conferencing systems operation (e.g., Zoom Rooms, Microsoft Teams) and AV control systems. Skilled in equipment troubleshooting across audio, video, control systems, and computer hardware/software issues. Mechanical knowledge for cabling management and equipment setup using hand tools. Electrical experience including use of voltmeters and understanding of electrical safety standards. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical clients. Experience managing live event AV production projects from planning through execution. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments requiring quick problem-solving skills. Pay:
$25.00 - $50.00 per hour Expected hours: 10.0 - 30.0 per week
