BASIC FUNCTION & RESPONSIBILITY

The "PAC Student Employee" works under the direction of district personnel to learn and operate basic lighting, sound, set construction and event management.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Certification:

Must be 16 years or older

Special Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Must be enrolled in Bastrop ISD and maintain good academic standing

Knowledge of Google Workspace applications

Interpersonal communication skills

Familiarity with (or willingness to learn) theatrical terminology and conventions

Experience:

Prior experience in theatre is preferred, but not required.

MENTAL DEMANDS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS
Tools/Equipment Used:

Standard office equipment including personal computer and peripherals; camera(s), video

cameras; desktop publishing software; theatrical lighting and audio equipment

Posture:

Prolonged sitting; occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting, with periods of standing as

needed for setup and takedown of events

Motion:

Repetitive reaching, hand motions to include the use of keyboards and mouse

Lifting:

Occasional Light to moderate lifting (no more than 50lbs., frequently under 25lbs), usually done in tandem for moderate lifts

Environment:

May work long, repetitive, irregular hours.

Mental Demands:

Frequent customer facing interactions, able to work with frequent interruptions in highly fluid,

adaptable situations; must maintain control under stress.
