PRIMARY PURPOSE

\nResponsible for the set-up and technical operations for events held at various DSISD Facilities.\n

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Certification:

\nMust be a current DSISD high school student\n

Special Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

\nAbility to hook up microphones, patch and operate levels on soundboard\nAbility to play music through sound system from various components\nAbility to program cues, patch and operate the light board\nAbility to manipulate curtains and other backstage headsets, etc.\nAbility to communicate verbally and in writing\nAbility to read and understand written and verbal instructions\nAbility to instruct others\n

Experience:

\nTechnical Theatre class work or related experience is required.\n

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

\nEssential Functions\nSet up all technical needs prior to the event start.\nMonitor patron entrance to the facility to ensure safety and professional demeanor.\nAssist with handicapped patrons.\nOperate lights/sounds/curtains during the event.\nMaintain professional appearance.\nAssist with end of event strike.\nAssist with any emergency procedures.\nOther\nComply with policies and regulations established by federal and state law, State Board of Education rule, and board policy. Comply with all district and campus routines and regulations.\nFollow district safety protocols and emergency procedures.\n
