What You'll Do Work side by side with teammates to install, wire, and service critical vehicle electronics—radios, laptops, docking stations, light bars, sirens, and more. Keep public safety vehicles mission-ready by troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining equipment in the shop and on-site. Take pride in delivering quality workmanship that first responders depend on every day. Communicate clearly with customers and teammates, ensuring projects run smoothly and expectations are exceeded. Maintain tools, parts, and inventory so the team is always ready to perform at its best. Be a problem solver, a team player, and a reliable partner in serving those who serve us. Safely lift heavy equipment individually or as a team Other duties as assigned What We're Looking For A hands-on learner with a high school diploma (technical degree a plus). Someone comfortable using hand and power tools with a knack for troubleshooting. Experience or interest in working with automotive electronics and equipment. A dependable teammate with a professional, customer-first attitude. The ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-driven environment. Safe operation of GenComm and customer vehicles, including occasional driving to and from job sites Professional and respectful verbal and written communication with coworkers and customers Why Join Us? GenComm is fully versed in the newest advances in technology, from digital two-way radios to 9-1-1 dispatch systems, in addition to sales, service and repair, installations, vehicle lighting and custom vinyl lettering/graphics/signs.
