Job Overview We are seeking a reliable, hardworking Gate Operator Technician to join our tight-knit team. In this role, you will focus strictly on the physical installation, mechanical setup, and operator wiring for a wide variety of custom gates— we do not handle IT or access control programming . This is a position for a true field professional who enjoys hands-on mechanical work, takes pride in their craftsmanship, and values a supportive "small business" culture.

Key Responsibilities Operator Installation:

Mount, wire, and commission automated gate operators (such as swing, slide, and cantilever systems) onto various types of fencing and gates.

Mechanical Alignment:

Ensure flawless physical gate operation, including hinge alignment, track placement, and hardware adjustments before operator installation.

Safety Integration:

Wire and test necessary gate safety peripherals like photo-eyes, magnetic loops, and edge sensors.

Customer Relations:

Serve as the face of our company in the field. Treat every client with respect, explain gate functionality clearly, and ensure they are 100% satisfied before leaving the site.

Teamwork & Efficiency:

Manage your job site efficiently, maintain company tools/vehicles, and work seamlessly alongside our fence installation crews.

Troubleshooting:

Effectively troubleshoot on service calls Applicable candidates can attend gate operator training seminars on a yearly bases. These would include HySecurity, DoorKing, and LiftMaster.

Pay:

From $36.00 per hour
