Description:

The Tampa Bay Rays have begun our search for members of our 2027 affiliate intern class. This position will coordinate the day-to-day video operations and various player development processes at an individual Rays affiliate. Our Minor League Affiliate Intern can also expect opportunities to gain insight into various aspects of baseball operations including, but not limited to, advance scouting, performance science, pro scouting, amateur scouting, data analysis, and player development.

Responsibilities :

Operate video equipment to record games and practice, ensuring high-quality video is available for player/staff review and analysis Travel with affiliate team and be responsible for the transportation of necessary technology Prepare advance scouting material at specific affiliates Operate various on-field technology including Portable Trackman units Create and deliver pre-game hitting and run game presentations to staff and players Collaborate with the affiliate coaching staff, coordinators, and front office with the implementation and execution of various strategies and initiatives Participate in intern development program which includes skill development, projects, and Q&A with various full-time staff members Complete ad hoc projects as assigned by the player development, scouting, and front office staff

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics :

Demonstrated knowledge of the game of baseball Exceptional communication skills and work ethic Demonstrated adaptability and resourcefulness Command of Microsoft Office suite programs including Excel, Word, and Outlook Ability to relocate for the duration of the minor league season Willingness to work non-traditional hours in line with the baseball schedule including nights and weekends Capability to stand for long periods of time and to carry up to 50lbs daily Spanish-speaking is advantageous, but not required SQL/R knowledge is useful, but not required All offers are contingent upon a satisfactory background check.
