Job Description
Overview Are you passionate about space exploration, NASA missions, and sharing the latest developments in the cosmos? We're seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Spaceflight & NASA News Communicators to bring the universe closer to audiences worldwide. Full shows are around 2 hours to shoot. Time commitment is 2-4 hours per week. Pay will be based on viewer performance. Travel is reimbursed
PRIORITY CANDIDATES WILL HAVE
Previous NASA or similar experience Strong journalism and critical thinking and analysis Previous show or podcast experience The ability as an independent journalist, to use common sense and not afraid to question the mainstream narrative Women is STEM will be given higher priorityDO NOT APPLY IF
You cannot talk space with others at length. You will need to have good grasp of the aerospace industry and science. STEM fields are mostly preferred. You are looking for an massive income stream- This is paid for fun and your resume building portfolio Your scared of cameras or just want to be in the back Skills Google Docs & Slides Coherent Public Speaking On-camera presentation Vivid and organic speech style Basic knowledge of spaceflight, astronomy, organizations like NASA, Space X , Blue Origin, Rocket Labs, ect.
- think space hangouts You will be using Slack and Zoom for collaboration
- no need to be in the studio for everything Relaxed onboarding process Other Requirements Communication on Slack is almost daily You are what makes OEN as an organization
