Overview
OVERVIEW
Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy (IMSA) is hiring two teachers for its inquiry-based, hands-on Saturday STEM drone programs in O'Fallon. The program will serveup to 36 middle school students.
Dates:
October 3, November 7, and December 5, 2026.
This position requires:
2 hours of training (virtually) TBD 8 hours of curriculum review5 hours of teaching, classroom set up and take down during each Saturday STEM session date listed above Teachers will be paid an hourly rate of $35/hour
POSITION SUMMARY
This position delivers hands-on instruction to program participants in the greaterO'Fallon area. All program materials are provided. Each teacher is supported by one ormore volunteer assistants. Responsibilities
RESPONSIBILITIES
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to carry out each essentialduty satisfactorily. Attend training and learn curricular content and activities as presented by IMSAHub Manager. Assist in the organization and implementation of said program. Teach and supervise students as part of the IMSA Saturday STEM programs Engage with other teacher in the organization of the programs. Communicate with other staff members about programmatic needs. Supervise and collaborate with teacher assistants, when applicable. Organize provided supplies for program. Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of a bachelor's degree in education (mathematics and/or sciencepreferred.) Strong content background in mathematics and/or science Teaching experience in grade levels indicated Energetic and fun-loving approach to STEM Strong interpersonal and communication skills
