Job Description

Job Title:
Freelance Drone Operator -
Corporate Video/Photo Location:
Dallas, TX (Supporting projects tied to Dallas campus; badge + background check required)
Schedule:
As-needed day-player (Flexible hours within an 8-16 hours/week pool depending on project load)
Duration:
3-Month Contract with strong potential for ongoing extension
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rate / Day rate commensurate with experience and certs About the Role Aquent is partnering with a leading global semiconductor and electronics company to find a Freelance Drone Operator to support corporate video and photography projects for their Dallas-based studio team. In this role, you will join a small, flexible crew rotation providing high-quality aerial coverage for facility overviews, corporate storytelling, and select technical product or demo content. You'll work closely with internal producers to complement the work of ground-based camera and photography teams, delivering clean, stable visuals suitable for executive and B2B audiences.
Key Responsibilities Aerial Photography & Videography:
Capture professional drone video and stills for: Commercial facility, lab, and campus overviews. B-roll and supporting imagery for corporate, B2B, and internal communications. Select product, demo, or culture-focused content where aerial perspectives add visual impact.
Flight Planning & Compliance:
Plan and execute safe, fully compliant flight operations in and around corporate locations.
Production Collaboration:
Work with internal producers to translate creative briefs into precise aerial shot lists and flight paths.
Crew Integration:
Coordinate closely with ground-based camera operators and photographers to ensure aerial assets match the overall visual style and production plan.
Asset Quality:
Deliver clean, stable, color-consistent video footage and stills ready for post-production integration.
Required Qualifications FAA Certification:
Active FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate (or equivalent required commercial certification).
Corporate Aerial Portfolio:
Demonstrated commercial/B2B drone portfolio showcasing stable, professionally composed video and still photography.
Safety & Regulatory Expertise:
Comprehensive knowledge of airspace regulations, local flight restrictions, safety protocols, and risk assessment.
Producer Collaboration:
Proven ability to take direction on set and work efficiently within corporate creative guidelines.
Site Clearance:
Ability to work on-site in Dallas, pass a background check, and obtain a site badge. Nice-to-Have Dallas-area location with flexibility to support short-notice on-site shoots as production schedules change. Experience collaborating on sets alongside ground camera and grip teams to match lighting, color, and framing stylistically. Familiarity with corporate production environments (live events, town halls, marketing shoots, or technical facilities). Basic working knowledge of NLE software (Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve) to understand downstream post-production handoff requirements.
