About the Role We are seeking an experienced Fit & Technical Designer with strong expertise in lingerie development to join our product development team. This position plays a critical role in ensuring every product meets the highest standards of fit, comfort, construction, and quality. The ideal candidate has extensive experience developing both regular-size and plus-size lingerie, understands the complexities of full-busted fit, and can work collaboratively with designers, pattern makers, and overseas vendors from concept through production. Key Responsibilities Collaborate closely with the Design Team to transform design concepts into productionready products. Lead all fit sessions and provide clear technical direction to vendors for fit improvements. Evaluate garment fit, comfort, support, functionality, and overall product performance. Develop and maintain detailed technical packages (Tech Packs), including: Measurement specifications Construction details Grading specifications Sewing instructions Quality standards Create, revise, and approve patterns for new developments and existing styles. Develop accurate grading rules across all size ranges, including plus-size and full-busted lingerie. Prepare and maintain measurement charts and fit specifications. Review prototypes, salesman samples, pre-production samples, and production samples to ensure consistency. Communicate fit comments, construction corrections, and quality requirements clearly with overseas factories and vendors. Troubleshoot construction and manufacturing issues while balancing fit, quality, cost, and production efficiency. Ensure all products meet company standards for fit, workmanship, durability, and customer satisfaction. Research new materials, fabrics, trims, and construction techniques to improve product performance. Work cross-functionally with Design, Product Development, Sourcing, Production, and Quality teams throughout the product lifecycle. Qualifications 5+ years of technical design or fit experience in the lingerie or intimate apparel industry. Extensive experience in both regular-size and plus-size bras, panties, and intimate apparel. Strong understanding of bra engineering, support systems, cup construction, grading, and fit. Expert knowledge of lingerie pattern making and pattern corrections. Proficiency in creating measurement specifications, grading rules, and technical documentation. Strong understanding of lingerie fabrics, elastics, lace, power mesh, foam, underwires, trims, and garment construction. Excellent knowledge of garment workmanship and manufacturing processes. Ability to identify fit issues and provide practical technical solutions. Experience conducting fit sessions on live models and translating observations into actionable factory comments. Strong communication skills with overseas factories and product development teams. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple development calendars and deadlines simultaneously. Preferred Qualifications Experience developing products for full-busted brands (D-K cups or above). Experience working with overseas manufacturing partners. Knowledge of apparel grading software and CAD pattern systems. Experience with technical design software such as Adobe Illustrator, PLM systems, Gerber, Optitex, or Lectra is a plus.
