Job Overview We are seeking a talented and creative Floral Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for floral artistry, horticulture, and customer service. This role involves designing beautiful floral arrangements for various occasions, maintaining an organized workspace, and providing exceptional service to our customers. Experience in retail sales, merchandising, and floral design is highly valued but not required. Schedule would include up to three weekdays and two Saturdays a month. Extra availability leading up to major holidays is a must. Duties Create custom floral arrangements for events, holidays, and everyday occasions, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and aesthetic appeal Assist customers in selecting flowers and designing arrangements that meet their needs and preferences Maintain the floral display area, ensuring it is attractive, well-stocked, and organized Help to manage inventory levels of flowers, supplies, and related products through stock replenishment and merchandising Operate POS systems for sales transactions, including cash handling and retail math calculations Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, offering product recommendations, and ensuring customer satisfaction Handle e-commerce orders efficiently, including order processing and packaging for delivery or pickup Availability to work extra hours leading up to major holidays including: Thanksgiving, Christmas, Valentine's Day, Easter and Mother's Day Skills Strong organizational skills with attention to detail Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 20 pounds Excellent communication skills Proficiency with POS systems Customer service-oriented mindset with the ability to engage effectively with clients in person and over the phone Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment while maintaining creativity and professionalism Join our team as a Floral Designer where your creativity will flourish while providing exceptional service in a vibrant retail environment.
