Floral Design Manager Pay:

Southern Pines, NC (In Person) Job Overview We are seeking an experienced, creative, and highly organized Floral Design Manager to lead our floral design team and oversee daily floral operations. This role combines hands-on floral design with leadership, quality control, client communication, and inventory management. The Floral Design Manager serves as the primary point of contact between our business, our design team, and our clients—ensuring every arrangement meets our standards and every order is executed with care. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced creative environment, has strong leadership skills, and takes pride in both the artistic and operational sides of floristry. Key Responsibilities Floral Design & Quality Control Design and create floral arrangements for weddings, funerals, holidays, and special events Oversee the quality, consistency, and presentation of all floral designs leaving the shop Set and maintain design standards, styles, and best practices Provide guidance, feedback, and training to floral designers Team Leadership & Management Lead, schedule, and support floral designers and production staff Delegate daily workloads and ensure deadlines are met Mentor team members and foster a positive, collaborative work environment Assist with onboarding and training of new designers Client & Business Communication Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding floral design details Communicate clearly with clients to understand vision, budget, and expectations Coordinate with ownership and other departments to ensure seamless execution of orders Handle design-related issues or concerns professionally and efficiently Inventory & Operations Order flowers, plants, and supplies; maintain appropriate inventory levels Monitor floral freshness, waste, and cost control Oversee proper care, storage, and rotation of flowers and plants Assist with pricing, recipe consistency, and design costing Shop & Administrative Support Maintain an organized, clean, and efficient design workspace Assist with POS, order entry, and scheduling as needed Support peak-season planning (holidays, weddings, events) Qualifications & Skills 2+ years of professional floral design experience required Previous leadership or management experience preferred Strong design skills with attention to detail and consistency Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to lead, motivate, and manage a creative team Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills Experience with inventory ordering and floral cost control Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment High school diploma or equivalent required Spanish-speaking ability is a plus, but not required Schedule Day shifts 8-hour shifts Weekdays with weekends and holidays as needed Overtime may be required during peak floral seasons Benefits Competitive pay based on experience Employee and store discounts Supportive, creative leadership role with growth potential People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply Work Requirements Must be able to commute to Southern Pines, NC Must be willing to relocate to Southern Pines, NC before starting In-person position
