Pernas Plant & Flower Shop Inc is looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Flower Shop and Greenhouse Assistant to join our team in Princeton, NJ! This is a wonderful opportunity to work hands-on with beautiful plants and flowers in a vibrant, creative environment. Responsibilities:

Assist with daily care and maintenance of plants and flowers in the greenhouse and shop Water, fertilize, and monitor plant health to ensure optimal growing conditions Assist in creating floral arrangements and displays for retail and special orders Greet and assist customers with plant and flower selection, providing knowledgeable recommendations Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing shop and greenhouse environment Receive, unpack, and stock incoming plant and floral inventory Support with processing sales transactions and handling customer inquiries

Requirements:

Prior experience in a flower shop, greenhouse, nursery, or related horticulture setting preferred Basic knowledge of plants, flowers, and general plant care Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate loads (plants, soil, pots) Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player Attention to detail and a creative eye for floral design is a plus Comfortable working in varying greenhouse temperatures and conditions local flower deliveries in our vehicles
