Floral Operations Associate Rockcastle Florist Part-Time About the

Position:

Rockcastle Florist is looking for a Floral Operations Associate to join our team in a versatile, hands-on role that supports multiple areas of our business. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, works well in a fast-paced environment, and is comfortable jumping in wherever the team needs support. You will be cross-trained in floral processing, retail, customer service, production, and delivery. We are looking for someone who is dependable, energetic, organized, customer-focused, and willing to learn.

What You'll Do:

Floral & Production Support Receive, inspect, process, and care for fresh flowers and plants Prepare and organize flowers for production Maintain clean, organized buckets, work areas, and coolers Help maintain floral inventory Assist with fulfilling floral orders accurately and efficiently Perform quality checks before orders leave the Design Center Prepare completed orders for delivery Customer Service & Retail Answer incoming phone calls professionally Assist customers in person and over the phone Enter customer orders accurately into our order system Help customers select flowers, plants, gifts, and other products Answer customer questions and resolve concerns professionally Stock merchandise and floral coolers Maintain attractive, clean, and inviting displays Assist with merchandising and pricing Process customer transactions using our POS system Delivery Safely and professionally deliver flowers and gifts Verify delivery information before leaving Load and unload delivery vehicles Represent Rockcastle Florist professionally when interacting with customers and recipients Maintain a clean delivery vehicle Team & Operations Work across different departments and locations as needed (Rochester, Greece, and Canandaigua as needed) Support the team during holidays and other peak business periods Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Follow company policies and procedures Communicate effectively with teammates and leadership Step in where needed to help the day's operation run smoothly What We're Looking For The right person will be: Dependable and punctual Positive, professional, and team-oriented Customer-service focused Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment Able to multitask and change priorities when needed Organized and detail-oriented Comfortable using computers and learning new software A strong communicator Willing to learn different areas of the business Able to work independently while also being a strong team player

Requirements:

Valid driver's license and clean driving record Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to stand, bend, walk, and move throughout the workday Weekend and holiday availability as needed

Experience:

Floral experience is a plus, but not required. We will train the right person. Previous experience in any of the following is helpful: Retail Customer service Delivery Warehouse or production Why This Position Is Different This is not a one-area job .
