Preserved Floral Designer Full-Time & Part-Time Opportunities | White Poppy Preservation White Poppy Preservation is looking for creative, detail-oriented individuals to join our Design Team! Our designers transform preserved wedding, memorial, and other meaningful florals into beautiful framed artwork that our customers can treasure for years to come. We are currently hiring for one full-time and one part-time position , with slightly different growth opportunities for each role. Full-Time Designer Our full-time opportunity is perfect for someone who is excited to grow within White Poppy long-term. For the right person, this position has the potential to grow into a leadership or management role within our Design Department. We're looking for someone who is dependable, takes ownership of their work, communicates well, is comfortable receiving and giving feedback, and is interested in developing both their design and leadership skills. Part-Time Designer + Content Opportunities Our part-time opportunity is ideal for someone who loves both design and creative content! In addition to designing customer pieces, we would love to find someone who is comfortable occasionally creating behind-the-scenes/design content for our social media platforms and collaborating with our Social Media Team on content. You do not need to be a professional content creator, but being comfortable on camera and having an interest in social media, photography, or short-form video is a plus! Responsibilities Design and assemble preserved floral artwork using real dried florals Carefully handle delicate and sentimental flowers Follow White Poppy's design standards while using creativity and artistic judgment Create balanced, beautiful layouts based on each customer's florals and selections Accept and apply feedback to continually improve design quality Work efficiently while maintaining a high level of attention to detail Maintain a clean and organized workspace Collaborate with other members of our production and design teams Part-time role: Occasionally assist with design-focused social media content Full-time role: Opportunity to develop additional leadership responsibilities as you grow Who We're Looking For Our ideal candidate: Has a strong eye for design, detail, color, and composition Has previous creative experience such as floral design, art, crafting, photography, styling, or similar work Loves hands-on, detail-oriented work Is patient and comfortable working with delicate materials Is receptive to feedback and eager to improve Can balance creativity with established design standards Cares deeply about the quality of the final product Works well both independently and as part of a team Is dependable and communicates well Understands that these pieces often hold significant sentimental value for our customers Schedule Our core working hours are 10:00 AM-4:00 PM.
We are currently looking for:
1 Full-Time Designer 1 Part-Time Designer Specific schedules can be discussed during the interview process, but availability during our core hours is important.
Pay & Growth Training Pay:
$12/hour
Designer Pay After Successful Training:
$14/hour There are opportunities for continued pay growth through promotions and increased responsibilities. Our full-time position specifically has the potential to develop into a management opportunity for the right person as they gain experience and demonstrate strong design, communication, and leadership skills. A Little More About the Role We want candidates to have a realistic picture of the position. While this is a highly creative role, designing preserved florals can also be repetitive and monotonous at times. You may spend several hours working carefully with small, delicate florals and making detailed adjustments to a design. For the right person, though, that process is incredibly satisfying. Every arrangement represents something meaningful to a customer, and you get to see your work turn into artwork that commemorates weddings, loved ones, and important moments in people's lives. $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
