We are seeking a passionate, creative, and knowledgeable Floral & Plant Design Specialist to join our team full-time. This role is perfect for someone who lives and breathes plants, floral artistry, and modern garden design. You will help customers create stunning indoor and outdoor spaces while driving sales through expert advice and eye-catching displays.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and create beautiful floral arrangements, seasonal displays, and custom plant designs for customers. Provide expert recommendations on houseplants, tropical plants, and interior plantscaping tailored to customer homes, light conditions, and lifestyles. Stay current with the latest gardening and design trends, including biophilic design, sustainable plant styling, container gardening, and modern tropical aesthetics. Build and maintain attractive greenhouse displays that highlight new arrivals, seasonal collections, and trending plant combinations. Educate customers through one-on-one consultations, workshops, and demonstrations on plant care, floral design, and garden styling. Assist with plant care, merchandising, inventory management, and sales floor operations. Collaborate with the team to develop creative solutions for customer projects, from small tabletop arrangements to larger indoor and outdoor transformations.
Requirements:
Strong floral design skills and experience are essential. Deep knowledge of houseplants and tropical plants (care, propagation, styling, and troubleshooting) — this is a must. Proven design eye with the ability to interpret and apply current gardening, interior plant, and landscape trends. Previous experience in a garden center, nursery, florist, or related retail/horticultural environment preferred. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, helpful, and enthusiastic attitude. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work outdoors in various weather, and stand for extended periods. Flexibility to work weekends and some holidays (peak seasons).
