Job Description

## Position Overview We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented
  • Product & Packaging Designer
  • to develop innovative consumer products and production-ready packaging from initial concept through mass production. This multidisciplinary position combines
  • 3D product design, industrial design, product engineering, and packaging design
•. The ideal candidate can translate creative concepts into functional, manufacturable products while also creating and releasing accurate packaging artwork for production. The Product & Packaging Designer will collaborate closely with the Graphics, Marketing, Product Development, Project Management, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams to ensure that every product and package meets the company's creative, functional, technical, and quality standards. ## Key Responsibilities ### Product and Industrial Design
  • Develop innovative product concepts from initial sketches and ideation through final production.

    • Translate creative concepts into functional, manufacturable product designs.
    • Develop product forms, dimensions, components, assemblies, and surface details.
    • Prepare technical drawings, specifications, renderings, and presentation materials for internal review and manufacturing.
    • Apply industrial design and engineering principles to improve product functionality, appearance, ergonomics, durability, and usability.
    • Work with internal teams and manufacturing partners to evaluate materials, production processes, tolerances, and product construction.
    • Incorporate design-for-manufacturing considerations into product development.
    • Review prototypes, samples, and engineering revisions throughout the development process.
    • Identify design or production issues and recommend practical solutions.
    • Revise 3D models and technical specifications based on testing, internal feedback, cost requirements, and factory capabilities.
    • Maintain product design integrity from concept approval through tooling and mass production.
    • Prepare and release final CAD files, technical drawings, specifications, and related production assets to approved manufacturing partners. ### Packaging Design and Production Artwork
    • Create packaging concepts that align with the product, brand standards, target audience, and retail environment.
    • Develop packaging artwork for cartons, labels, blister cards, pouches, displays, inserts, shrink sleeves, and other packaging formats.
    • Work with the Project Management team to create, revise, approve, and finalize packaging artwork.
    • Build production-ready artwork using approved dielines and vendor specifications.
    • Ensure packaging files contain accurate copy, product claims, barcodes, regulatory information, legal text, colors, finishes, and technical requirements.
    • Prepare artwork for printing processes and finishes such as offset printing, flexography, digital printing, foil stamping, embossing, spot coatings, and specialty materials.
    • Conduct detailed preflight reviews to identify errors before files are released.
    • Prepare and release final Illustrator, PDF, and other required production files to approved vendors and factories.
    • Review digital and physical proofs, color samples, packaging prototypes, and production samples.
    • Maintain organized packaging files, revision histories, approvals, and final production assets.
    • Ensure all released artwork is accurate, complete, and consistent with approved brand guidelines. ### Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Collaborate with the Graphics, Marketing, and Product Development teams to conceptualize and finalize new products.
    • Work closely with Project Management to meet development schedules, production deadlines, and product launch dates.
    • Present product and packaging concepts clearly to internal stakeholders.
    • Incorporate feedback while maintaining the design intent and project objectives.
    • Communicate technical requirements effectively with domestic and international vendors and manufacturing partners.
    • Manage multiple product and packaging projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
    • Support the development of product renderings, presentation materials, sales assets, and e-commerce imagery when needed.
    • Proactively communicate project status, risks, production concerns, and required decisions to the appropriate teams. ## Required Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Packaging Design, Graphic Design, Engineering, or a related field.
    • Professional experience in product design, industrial design, packaging design, or a comparable multidisciplinary role.
    • Strong understanding of the complete product development process, from concept and prototyping through tooling and mass production.
    • Demonstrated experience creating detailed 3D models using
    • Rhino, SolidWorks, or similar CAD software

    • Experience creating packaging artwork using production dielines.
    • Strong knowledge of print production, prepress preparation, color management, file construction, and artwork release procedures.
    • Understanding of product materials, manufacturing processes, tolerances, and design-for-manufacturing principles.
    • Ability to review prototypes, proofs, samples, and production files for accuracy and quality.
    • Strong visual design, problem-solving, and technical communication skills.
    • Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and file-management practices.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong portfolio demonstrating both 3D product development and production-ready packaging design. ## Preferred Qualifications
    • Experience developing consumer products from initial concept through mass production.
    • Experience working directly with domestic and international manufacturers.
    • Familiarity with injection-molded plastics, metals, silicone, rubber, and other common consumer-product materials.
    • Experience with prototyping, 3D printing, tooling development, and factory sample reviews.
    • Knowledge of packaging structures, materials, sustainability considerations, and retail display requirements.
    • Experience creating photorealistic product renderings using KeyShot or similar rendering software.
    • Familiarity with consumer packaged goods, personal care, beauty, wellness, or oral-care products.
    • Understanding of packaging compliance, regulatory copy, and retail production requirements. ## Core Competencies
