Job Description

Marketing & Design Specialist Communications | OnVie Lifestyle Management
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Marketing & Design Specialist is the creative engine for OnVie's communications team, the person who turns a request into a finished, polished piece, fast, with both a strong design eye and clean, on-brand copy. This role handles the full range of ad hoc design and production work across the portfolio: flyers, community onboarding templates, app launch materials, proposal decks, meeting decks, newsletters, and client reports. You work across many requests and formats in a single week, and you're trusted to take a request from brief to final file with minimal back-and-forth. You report to the Communications & Digital Operations Manager. This role sits on the communications team and works closely with Regional Directors, Lifestyle Directors, and OnVie leadership to turn their ideas and content into on-brand, client-ready materials. You bring both the design eye and the project management discipline to keep multiple pieces moving toward their deadlines at once.
WHAT YOU'LL OWN
Community Onboarding & App Launch Materials Manage the design team in building the initial community template set (newsletters, welcome materials, flyers, and other recurring pieces) for each new community coming into the portfolio. Once the templates are complete, compile the content and produce the community's first newsletter and welcome materials, so the team has a finished starting point rather than a blank page. Design flyers and marketing materials to launch a new community app, including email blasts, postcards, and printed sales collateral. Create new community announcements as communities launch, across email, print, and other channels as needed. Own this template and app-launch design work end to end. Ad Hoc Design & Creative Requests Design flyers, one-pagers, social graphics, and other ad hoc creative pieces on request, turning them around quickly without sacrificing quality or brand consistency. Maintain and apply OnVie's brand standards across every piece you touch, adapting tone and style across different community brands within the portfolio. Proposals & Decks Assist with sales proposal decks and presentation materials for new business and client-facing pitches, or develop reusable templates for the team to use, depending on the scope of the request. Assist with building meeting decks and supporting materials for internal and client-facing meetings or develop reusable templates for the team to use. Partner with the team requesting the piece to understand the goal and audience before designing, rather than working from a brief alone. Newsletters & Client Reports Design and help produce resident newsletters when needed, working from content provided by Lifestyle Directors and the communications team. Support client report production and formatting, ensuring a consistent, professional look across the portfolio. Project & Tool Management Manage your own queue of concurrent design and production requests, prioritizing and delivering against multiple deadlines at once. Build and send email campaigns in Constant Contact for new initiatives as they come up, including app launches, announcements, and survey campaigns. Build event invitations and event pages in Eventbrite (or similar event management platforms) for community events, including the design and copy needed to launch them. Work primarily in Canva, Constant Contact, Eventbrite, and ClickUp, along with other event management platforms as needed. Keep requests, timelines, and deliverables organized and visible so nothing falls through the cracks. Flag capacity or timeline conflicts early rather than letting a deadline slip silently.
WHAT YOU BRING
Experience 3+ years of experience in graphic design, digital communications, or a related field, ideally including agency experience producing fast-turnaround creative work across many concurrent projects and clients. Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Digital Communications, Marketing, or a related field preferred. Strong graphic design skills and a portfolio showing range across flyers, decks, and marketing materials. Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to write clean, on-brand copy for flyers, decks, and campaigns, and to catch errors and inconsistencies in others' content. Experience with Canva (required), Adobe Creative Suite, Constant Contact, and Eventbrite or similar event management platforms; ClickUp or similar task management tools. Comfortable producing newsletters and client-facing reports. Skills & Capabilities Fast, independent worker who can take a brief and run with it, producing polished work with minimal review or revision cycles. Strong project management instincts, able to juggle several requests at once without losing track of deadlines or details. Sharp eye for design consistency and brand standards across multiple community brands. Comfortable working across many different formats and project types in the same week. Clear communicator who knows when to ask a clarifying question and when to just move forward. Copywriter's instinct paired with an editor's eye: writes clean, on-brand copy and catches errors and inconsistencies before anything goes out.
YOU'LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU
Love variety and never want to design the same thing twice in a row. Take pride in fast, clean execution over long revision cycles. Can hold ten open requests at once and still hit every deadline. Enjoy being the person people come to when something needs to look good, fast.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
Within the first 90 days, you've learned OnVie's brand standards across the portfolio, taken on a full queue of ad hoc requests, and delivered your first proposal deck and newsletter or client report with minimal revisions needed. By six months, the communications team relies on you as the go-to for fast, polished design work, your turnaround times are consistently fast, and requesters trust that what comes back needs little to no rework.
