Graphic Design Specialist

Job Description

Graphic Design Specialist The Graphic Design Specialist produces creative visual materials that support First State's (FSCB, FSIA and FSFM) marketing, advertising, and communication initiatives. This position develops graphics, layouts, imagery, and written content for digital and print media while ensuring all materials are visually appealing, consistent with brand standards, and aligned with business objectives.
KEY RESULT AREAS 1.
Graphic Design & Creative Development:
Create visual concepts, graphics, layouts, and imagery that effectively communicate marketing and advertising messages. Translate brand standards into creative, consistent, and engaging visual media. Develop concepts and design solutions using graphic design software and creative best practices. Ensure all graphics and layouts are visually appealing, accurate, and on brand. Prepare, present, and communicate creative concepts, drafts, and design recommendations. 2.
Marketing & Advertising Support:
Design and create custom materials for marketing campaigns, social media, support teams, and market requests. Manage branch display advertising, including lobby and drive-thru television content and exterior electronic signage. Develop written content that supports marketing initiatives and complies with applicable regulatory requirements. 3.
Collaboration & Project Management:
Build and maintain effective relationships with leaders, support teams, and internal customers. Communicate professionally and effectively with teams across the organization. Maintain organized creative files and documentation to support project management, audits, and examinations.
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
Proven graphic design experience required. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop preferred. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Creative, strategic, and solution-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively in a team environment. Flexible, approachable, and customer-focused professional demeanor. Strong understanding of visual composition, branding, and design aesthetics. Photography experience preferred but not required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to remain in a stationary position for long durations (e.g., 6-8 hours with breaks). Occasionally required to stand or walk short distances. Manual dexterity for using keyboard, mouse and telephone system. Visual acuity to read computer screens and written documents. Occasionally lifting office supplies, files and small packages (typically up to 10-25 lbs.) Ability to hear and understand spoken communication, including customer (internal and external) inquiries and phone conversations.
