Daily access to the latest prepress, proofing, and plate-making technologies. Your impact Preflight and validate incoming customer artwork. Fix file problems, standardize formats, and optimize for diverse print processes. Build working files and impose layouts for plate-making. RIP for proofs and final output; create and QC digital proofs. Develop step-and-repeat layouts in ESKO (e.g., ArtPro+). Produce vector artwork for spot coatings and flexographic plates. Generate production-ready files and printing plates. Audit folding carton art for completeness and print readiness. Maintain color accuracy via ICC profiles and calibration tools. Partner with vendors on embossing/stamping dies and specialty needs. Archive/retrieve files using automated archival software. Hit deadlines by following production schedules and work orders. Collaborate with designers, customers, and production to resolve technical issues. Do you check these boxes? 3+ years in prepress (packaging, label, or commercial print preferred). Degree/diploma in Graphic Design, Packaging Technology, or related field preferred. Expertise in print production, file preparation, imposition, and file formatting. Proficient with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, ArtPro+, and PC-based prepress tools. ESKO experience (or rapid learning ability) strongly preferred. Skilled in color management, RIP workflows, and digital proofing. Calm, resourceful troubleshooter in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Organized communicator with sharp problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Hands-on packaging experience and comfort with RIP systems. Bonus points Direct experience with folding cartons, labels, flexible packaging, or similar packaging print environments.
