Position Summary:

(In Person / Onsite) The role of the Senior Graphic Artist is to produce complex and diversified LED, or other forms of illuminated lighting sign renderings and designs; including, but not limited to new concept renderings, photo retouch, logo cleanup, layout of product sheets with illustration of sign and appropriate detailed specifications, maintaining control of digital graphic information and organization of files, conversion of files for customer and plant requirements utilizing Mac computer system.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Create graphic renderings of LED, neon or other forms of illuminated lighting sign systems for various company accounts using Photoshop, Illustrator and/or Macromedia Freehand on a Mac OSX system. Obtain appropriate graphics approval as required by the customer or Graphic Arts Manager. Create files for customer receipt and specific file formats for production at the plant. Responsible for organization of digital files and backup of files to external drive. Actively contribute to the organization by sharing unique experiences, education and insight; continuously build upon personal skills and education, helping the organization meet ever-changing business challenges. Assist in training other Graphic Artists and/or assigning projects, as requested. Collaborate with Account Executives and Account Managers on new or special projects, drawing upon design experience to define aesthetic and functionality guidelines. Assist Product Engineers in preparing drawings for prototyping to maintain aesthetic integrity and functionality. Oversee functions of the Design Department in the absence of the Graphic Arts Manager. Perform other duties as work demands and department schedule may require. Educational Requirements /

Experience:

High School Diploma with advanced Graphic Arts coursework

• Associate's degree in Graphic Arts or related discipline preferred Minimum of seven (7) years' experience working with computer vector drawing and photo-retouch software Knowledge of LED or other forms of illuminated lighting involving design and illustration of indoor and outdoor signs Must be proficient with Mac OSX, vector illustration, and photo retouch skills Must be able to read and understand engineering drawings, site plans and architectural drawings related to specific projects Must be very detail oriented and able to render signs and products to scale
