Beauty is your anchor. Play, customization, and collectibility are your design disciplines. You'll create product formats, styling kits, and gifting collections that land on TikTok before they peak, then keep shipping variations that keep your customer engaged. This isn't about making pretty things. It's about making things girls can't stop using, sharing, and collecting. Core Responsibilities Design Play-First Product Conceive and design collections where beauty is the hook and play is the format

Lip tint palettes designed as building blocks Every concept must be prototype-sketched (by hand or digital) before tooling — formats matter more than finish Design for repeat engagement: collectibility, customization, social shareability Toy Design Thinking Understand play mechanics: why collectible formats work, how customization drives loyalty, what makes a product "pickupable" Source and audit toy/play products from competitors and adjacent categories monthly Apply play design thinking to beauty — this is non-negotiable for this role Stay Ahead of TikTok Beauty Trends Monitor GRWM routines, beauty hacks, and viral styling formats daily Identify what's peaking, what's about to peak, and what nobody's made yet Bring trend intel to Planning/Merch with specific product recommendations, not just observations Lead 2-3 trend briefings per quarter for the broader team Collaborate Across Functions Partner with Merchandising on mix, volume, and commercial viability — flag what's too expensive or too niche before tooling Work with Production to solve format challenges (fidgety elements, collectible packaging, customization mechanisms) Own storytelling with Brand & Marketing — you concept it.

designers, merchants, producers, marketers Who You Are Strong conceptual sketcher —in digital tools. You think through drawing, not just in documents Excellent communicator — you present ideas clearly, listen actively, and influence cross-functional partners without hierarchy Beauty knowledge — you use these products, follow trends, know your customer's interests deeply Fast ideator — you ship 5-10 concepts a week and don't get precious about any of them Problem-solver — you see a format problem and solve it, or escalate with solutions ready TikTok-native — you spend time on the platform, you read the behavior, you recognize moments before they're obvious Toy design experience is a plus — you've worked in play or collectibles, or you think like you have Qualifications 4-7 years of design experience in beauty, product, or related categories Portfolio that shows conceptual sketching and format innovation (not just surface design) Deep product development knowledge: costing, sourcing, margin implications Fluency in design tools (Adobe, Miro, Raspberry software) Strong presentation and cross-functional collaboration skills — this role requires selling ideas daily Bachelor's degree in Product Design, Fashion Design, or related field Claire's is committed to adhering to all applicable company policies and federal, state, and local laws and regulations. The final compensation will be determined by various factors such as relevant work experience, education, certifications, skills, and geographic location.
