We're looking for a trailer industry veteran: an innovative, progressive engineer with exceptional structural chops, ready to lead product design from concept through production. What You'll Do Lead new trailer product development and major design improvements, start to finish (concept, CAD, prototype, test, launch). Spend regular time on the shop floor: fitting prototypes, troubleshooting builds, and working through production issues with fabrication and assembly teams. Solve structural, material, and production problems. Improve existing products for strength, weight, cost, and manufacturability. Work directly with manufacturing, purchasing, quality, and sales. Guide designers and production personnel. Requirements 5+ years of engineering experience in trailer, truck-body, or comparable heavy-duty towable-structure manufacturing. Proven, exceptional structural engineering ability (loads, tolerances, materials, durability on road-going structures). Strong 3D CAD skills, with hands-on experience in welded/fabricated steel and aluminum assemblies. A track record of pushing a product forward, not just maintaining it. Comfortable being on the floor, not just at a desk. Engineering degree preferred, not required with strong demonstrated experience.
A plus:
electrical, suspension, or composite/bonded structures experience.
Benefits:
Medical/dental/vision, paid vacation and holidays, performance bonus, possible relocation assistance.
To Apply:
Résumé plus a brief description of one trailer (or comparable structural) product you took from concept through production: what you built, what you solved, and the result. Equal opportunity employer. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. On-site, Waco, TX.
Pay:
$145,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year
Benefits:
Dental insurance Health insurance Vision insurance
