About Us We are a growing, family-owned bathroom remodeling company serving San Diego County. We pride ourselves on executing high-quality, custom renovations backed by strong technical standards and precise local code compliance. We don't build generic; we build to last. As our project pipeline expands, we are looking for a dedicated designer to grow alongside our business.
Position OverviewWe are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented Bathroom Designer on a part-time basis. This is a highly autonomous, multi-faceted role perfect for someone who is exceptionally organized and loves taking ownership of a project from concept to execution. You will bridge the gap between creative design, material procurement, and client communication.
Key Responsibilities Client-Facing Discovery:
Run initial consultations and client intakes to confidently uncover project scope, functional layout requirements, and material preferences.
Technical Space Planning:
Utilize design software to generate accurate space-planning mockups, floor plans, and technical construction sets for residential bathrooms.
Sourcing & Finish Coordination:
Select and source plumbing fixtures, tiles, vanities, and hardware within specified budgets. Manage finish schedules and double-check manufacturer specifications to prevent site discrepancies.
Collaborative Execution:
Coordinate closely with the principal contractor to ensure layouts align perfectly with framing, plumbing stacks, and local San Diego building codes.
What We Are Looking For Autodidactic & Proactive:
You are a natural self-starter. When faced with an unfamiliar technical challenge or a specific municipal code requirement, you enjoy researching and finding the correct answer independently. Obsessive Attention to
Detail:
You catch the tiny things—like grout lines, clearance margins, and hardware finishes—before the drywall goes up.
Solid Foundational Design Knowledge:
A strong understanding of spatial ergonomics, material behaviors (e.g., porous stones vs. quartz), and basic residential construction flows.
Tech-Savvy:
Proficiency in standard interior design drafting software and digital organization tools.
Bonus :
Lumion or other design video creation software experience that we can use for our social media.
Hours Growth Potential:
Hours will scale naturally as our company's pipeline continues to expand. We want to bring the right person on full-time as we scale.
NOTE :
You must be willing to meet with clients in person and go to the job site, but this job will be largely remote and self directed.
Pay:
$25.00 - $35.00 per hour Expected hours: 5.0 - 40.0 per week
