Job Overview Project:

Initial Outfitting & Transition Services for Renovation of B4 3H Internal Medicine and 6F Labor and Delivery Position Summary The Interior Designer will support the Tripler Army Medical Center IO&T task order by leading interior design, FF&E package development, and design coordination for the phased renovation of B4 3H Internal Medicine and 6F Labor and Delivery. This role is responsible for developing the complete Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment package for Area 3H and vetting the existing Area 6F FF&E package with the TAMC customer. The Interior Designer will coordinate furniture, fabrics, finishes, textures, artwork, signage, and wayfinding with the CEHNC Interior Designer, DHA-FE/TAMC representatives, end users, vendors, and project stakeholders. This role supports procurement readiness, installation coordination, deficiency resolution, final acceptance, and as-built closeout documentation. Key Responsibilities Develop the complete FF&E Package for Area 3H. Review and validate the existing Area 6F FF&E package with the TAMC customer. Coordinate furniture, fabrics, finishes, textures, artwork, signage, and wayfinding with the CEHNC Interior Designer and

representatives. Ensure design recommendations align with applicable MEDCOM, UFC, The Joint Commission, evidence-based design, and healthcare environment standards. Prepare furniture illustration sheets, finish selections, artwork documentation, signage documentation, and procurement-support materials. Support field verification and validate design assumptions against existing conditions. Coordinate with end users to confirm room function, furniture placement, finishes, equipment placement, and operational needs. Review vendor quotations, proposed substitutions, product availability, lead times, and technical acceptability. Provide technical recommendations for FF&E, signage, artwork, finishes, fabrics, and substitutions. Support procurement package development by verifying salient characteristics and design requirements. Remain engaged through procurement, delivery, installation, field-change review, deficiency resolution, final acceptance, and as-built closeout documentation. Coordinate design-related issues with the Project Manager, Medical Equipment Planning Specialist, vendors, and other project team members. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in interior design or a related field. Minimum of 5 years designing and/or reviewing relevant medical projects. Minimum of 2 years supporting relevant Federal, DoD, and/or Army projects. Current NCIDQ certification. No formal or official affiliation with a furniture dealership, vendor, or manufacturer. Experience developing FF&E packages, finish selections, furniture layouts, artwork packages, signage/wayfinding packages, and procurement-ready design documentation. Strong knowledge of healthcare interior design, clinical environments, durability, infection control, accessibility, and maintainability considerations. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting military medical treatment facilities or Federal healthcare projects. Experience with MEDCOM Environment of Care standards, UFC requirements, The Joint Commission standards, and evidence-based design. Experience coordinating with Government interior designers, end users, vendors, and OEMs. Experience supporting phased renovations or occupied healthcare environments. Work Expectations This role may be performed hybrid/remotely with onsite support required for field verification, user validation meetings, design coordination, installation review, deficiency resolution, and final acceptance activities.
