Job Description

Overview An established leader in the residential building products industry is seeking an experienced Senior Designer to join its growing design team. This organization partners with homeowners, builders, remodelers, and contractors to create functional, high-quality living spaces through innovative design solutions and exceptional customer service. This role is ideal for an experienced designer who enjoys collaborating with clients, solving complex design challenges, and managing projects from concept through installation. Position Summary The Senior Designer is responsible for creating customized design solutions for residential projects while guiding clients through the entire design and product selection process. This individual combines technical expertise with creativity to produce accurate designs, quotations, and specifications that meet customer expectations, project requirements, and budget goals. Key Responsibilities Design customized cabinetry, storage, and interior solutions using professional design software. Develop accurate layouts, renderings, product specifications, and detailed project drawings. Prepare estimates, proposals, and pricing for projects. Meet with homeowners, builders, remodelers, designers, and contractors to understand project goals and recommend design solutions. Conduct showroom consultations and assist customers with product selections, finishes, colors, and layouts. Perform site measurements when necessary and revise plans to ensure accurate product fit and installation. Review project details and verify specifications prior to ordering to ensure accuracy. Coordinate with internal teams throughout the design, ordering, and installation process. Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining high quality standards. Resolve customer concerns professionally while delivering an exceptional customer experience. Stay current on industry trends, product innovations, and design best practices. Qualifications Required Minimum of five years of experience in kitchen, cabinetry, closet, interior, or residential space planning design. Advanced proficiency with 2020 Design software or comparable cabinet design software. Strong understanding of residential construction methods and blueprint interpretation. Excellent space-planning and problem-solving abilities. Exceptional communication and presentation skills. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. High attention to detail and commitment to quality. Valid driver's license with the ability to travel locally to customer sites as needed. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Preferred Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or a related field. Experience designing cabinetry, closets, countertops, or other residential interior products. Experience working directly with builders, contractors, architects, or interior designers. Familiarity with field measurements, product specifications, and construction documentation.
