Our team combines thoughtful architecture, interior design, craftsmanship, and attention to detail to create homes that are both beautiful and functional. We are looking for a Design Intern who is passionate about interior design and excited to gain hands-on experience in the residential homebuilding industry. Position Overview The Design Intern will work alongside our design and building teams to support the interior design process for new residential homes. This is an excellent opportunity for a student or emerging designer who wants to develop practical experience and learn how interior design translates from concept and drawings into completed homes. The ideal candidate is creative, detail-oriented, organized, and eager to learn. You should have a genuine interest in interior design and an enthusiasm for residential architecture and homebuilding. Responsibilities Assist with interior design concepts and selections for residential homes. Support the development and organization of finish selections, materials, colors, fixtures, and furnishings. Assist with creating and maintaining design presentations, boards, and documentation. Research products, materials, finishes, and design trends. Collaborate with architects, designers, builders, vendors, and other members of the CORE team. Help coordinate design details and selections throughout the homebuilding process. Assist with maintaining accurate design specifications and records. Participate in meetings, site visits, and other activities related to the design and construction process. Learn and contribute to CORE Building Company's approach to creating functional, attractive, and cohesive home interiors. Qualifications Currently majoring in Interior Design, Architecture, or a closely related field , or recently graduated. Strong desire to pursue a career in interior design , particularly residential interior design. Passion for design, architecture, materials, and residential spaces. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with a team. Willingness to learn and take direction in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. Basic proficiency with design software is a plus. Experience with CAD, SketchUp, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, or other design programs is a plus, but not required.
