Senior Interior DesignerAbout the Opportunity Join a growing and highly collaborative interiors practice where design, innovation, and client experience are at the forefront of every project. This opportunity is ideal for a Senior Interior Designer who is passionate about creating impactful workplace environments and enjoys leading projects from concept through construction. Based in Raleigh, NC, you'll work on a diverse portfolio of commercial interior projects within workplace, science and technology, and mission critical sectors. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of design initiatives, collaborate directly with clients and consultants, and play an influential role in the continued growth of a thriving interiors group. Position Overview We are seeking a Senior Interior Designer to lead interior architecture and workplace design projects through all phases of design and delivery. This individual will serve as both a design leader and project contributor, guiding project teams, developing innovative workplace solutions, and ensuring successful execution from programming and space planning through construction administration. The ideal candidate combines strong design instincts with technical expertise, excels in client-facing environments, and is energized by mentoring team members while helping shape high-quality commercial interior environments. Key Responsibilities
+ Lead workplace interior design projects from early programming and concept development through construction and project closeout.
+ Develop creative design solutions that align with client goals, workplace strategies, budgets, and project schedules.
+ Create and oversee space planning, test fits, and workplace layouts that support functionality, brand identity, and user experience.
+ Guide design teams through schematic design, design development, construction documentation, and construction administration phases.
+ Participate in and lead client presentations, design workshops, and project meetings.
+ Coordinate effectively with architects, engineers, consultants, vendors, and internal team members.
+ Lead the selection and specification of furniture, finishes, materials, lighting, and FF&E packages.
+ Prepare and review construction documentation using Revit and BIM workflows.
+ Support bid and procurement activities for furniture and finish packages.
+ Respond to RFIs, review submittals, conduct site visits, and assist with construction administration efforts.
+ Develop design concepts and communicate ideas through sketches, renderings, presentations, and 3D visualization tools.
+ Mentor and support junior designers while contributing to a positive, collaborative team culture.
+ Maintain project schedules, quality standards, and client relationships throughout the project lifecycle. QualificationsRequired
+ Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture from a CIDA-accredited program. + 6+ years of professional experience in commercial interior design, workplace design, or interior architecture.
+ Strong proficiency in Revit and BIM-based project delivery.
+ Experience leading workplace interior projects through multiple phases of design and construction.
+ Expertise in space planning, workplace strategy, and commercial interiors.
+ Knowledge of commercial building systems, building codes, and ADA requirements.
+ Strong understanding of FF&E selection, finish specifications, and commercial interior detailing.
+ Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
+ Ability to manage multiple priorities while collaborating with clients, consultants, and internal teams. Preferred
+ NCIDQ certification or active pursuit of certification.
+ Experience with SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and additional visualization or rendering tools.
+ Background in construction documentation and construction administration.
+ Experience working on science and technology and/or mission critical projects.

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $140000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
