Design Administrative Assistant Part-Time | Potential to Grow | Base Hourly + Commission About the Position We are seeking a highly organized, motivated, and detail-oriented Design Administrative Assistant to work directly with the Owner of a growing interior design business. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has an interest in interior design, home furnishings, client service, and the business side of design . The ideal candidate is resourceful, professional, comfortable juggling multiple priorities, and enjoys working in a creative environment. The position will begin part-time , with the opportunity to grow in hours and responsibilities as the business expands. Responsibilities Provide administrative and organizational support to the Owner Assist with day-to-day design business operations Coordinate schedules, appointments, meetings, and follow-ups Communicate professionally with clients, vendors, designers, and other business contacts Assist with product research, sourcing, pricing, and vendor information Prepare and organize proposals, orders, invoices, and other documentation Maintain client and project information Follow up with vendors and clients regarding orders, deliveries, and project details Assist with showroom, product, and material research Help keep projects organized and moving forward Manage email correspondence and other administrative tasks Assist with social media, marketing, and other special projects as needed Take on additional responsibilities as the business grows Qualifications Previous administrative, design, showroom, retail, or customer service experience preferred Strong organizational and time-management skills Excellent written and verbal communication Professional and personable demeanor Strong attention to detail Ability to multitask and prioritize independently Comfortable working with computers, email, Microsoft Office/Google Workspace, and online research Interest in interior design, furnishings, architecture, or the luxury home industry is a plus Ability to work independently while taking direction from the Owner Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn Compensation Base hourly rate + applicable commission opportunities The position will begin part-time , with the potential for additional hours, responsibilities, and compensation as the role develops.
