Job Description

Overview Remark Construction is a Residential Design-Build Construction company looking to hire a Design Professional to join our growing Design Team At Remark, we perform a variety of residential construction projects ranging from custom home builds and additions to basement buildouts and kitchen remodels. Remark's Design-Build model begins with a simple philosophy in mind - Construction starts after the design and planning is complete. Remark's Design Team works with clients to make specialty product selections, complete 2 and 3Dimensional project renderings, and aids Remark's sales team in completing itemized budget tracking data. Remark provides software specific training for Remark's Design Program of choice, but applicants must have a minimum of 5 years Design Experience utilizing 3Dimensional Rendering tools. Basic Position Requirements Applicant must have reliable transportation, 10+ years of Interior Design experience, Demonstrable proficiency in Construction Design Software, Residential Client Experience, a strong work ethic, and an overall positive attitude and passion for Construction and Interior Design. Position Overview TITLE:
Interior Designer Outcome Statement:
The Interior Designer is responsible for creating pre-construction plans from client's desired scope of work, created by Sales team. Designer is responsible to produce client selections, approved client 2 and 3Dimensional rendering, and itemized specialty material list (in tandem with Sales professional). Position requires attendance to and participation with up to (5) annual Home Shows which include weekend shifts - hours flex on Home Show weekends. Training Provided. Specific Knowledge in Interior Design Project Tracking and Programming 5.9. Ability to Review and Productively Articulate Expectations to Construction Team via set meetings Exceedingly High Expectations for Adherence to Construction Best Practices, Personal Integrity, and Team Building for Oneself and Others Managed / Managed By The Ability to Transport Oneself, Team Members, and Equipment, when Required, Fom Office to Jobsite, Jobsite to Jobsite, Etc. Strong Ability to Manage Production Timelines for 20+
Active Projects Company Wide Standards:
All Work Will be Performed According to Company Policies and Standards Inherent in All Position Agreements, System Action Plans, Employee Manuals, Ongoing Policy Memoranda, and Facilities and Dress Codes Client and Company information Will be Held Strictly Confidential Outside the Company and to Employees Under Management by the Construction Manager All telephone Calls, both Internal and External, Will be Returned Within One Business Day and Within Two Hours, Whenever Possible. Your Manager Will be Notified Prior to the Due Date of Any Issues to be Resolved or Deadlines that Cannot be Met by the Reporting Position. All Vacation / Time-Off Requests will be Made According to the Employee Manual on PTO Usage Problems with Any System will be Brought to your Manager's Attention So the System can be Improved within the Structure of the Production Manual. Team members will Provide Staff Assistance, as Requested; Each Team Member May be Asked from Time to Time to Cover other Areas of Accountability and/or Departments. All business Communications, Whether Verbal, Visual, or Written, Whether for Internal or External Use, Will be Professional in Tone and Content and in Accordance with Applicable and Existing Company Policies and Standards and Common-Sense Expectations. Team Members Will Respect Each Other's Time, Space, and Need for Concentration. Socializing and Interruptions Must Not Impede Workflow, and Every Effort Must be Made to be Productive for the Entire Working Day. Team Members are Encouraged to Recommend Ideas for the Improvement of their Department and Positions that are Consistent with the Company's Vision. Offensive Language is Prohibited, and Team Members Must Not Use it When on Duty. Use of the Customer's Phone or Other Client Items, Such as Tools, is / are Prohibited. PTO Working Conditions:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those encountered by a team member while performing the essential functions of this job. Conditions are typical of a residential construction-related work site and will occur inside and outside client homes. A general understanding of the hazards present on the residential construction site is necessary. Conditions at times will involve driving for at least part of the workday. Noise levels will, at times, be above normal and will require the use of hearing protection. Work will sometimes be performed on ladders and scaffolding at heights at or above 20'. Working conditions at times will require the use of safety shoes, which an employee will be responsible for providing.
