This position calls for a dedicated professional ready to facilitate effective communication between students, educators, and staff using American Sign Language (ASL). The role is vital in ensuring equal access to classroom content and creating a supportive, inclusive environment for all learners.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL), with strong expressive and receptive skills Prior experience interpreting in schools or educational environments highly preferred Knowledge of Deaf culture, as well as the educational and linguistic needs of Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing students Current certification or relevant credentials as a Sign Language Interpreter Ability to adapt communication style to suit diverse learning levels and classroom situations Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with teachers, staff, and students Strong organizational and time-management abilities
Key Responsibilities:
