Qualifications and Experience:

Certification as a Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) or equivalent credentials Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) Previous experience interpreting in educational settings or with students preferred Strong communication, listening, and interpersonal skills Ability to adapt quickly to changing classroom needs Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism Team-oriented mindset with a passion for supporting students success

Responsibilities:

Interpret spoken language into ASLand vice versafor students, staff, and administrators in classrooms and school-related activities Facilitate clear and accurate communication at all times, ensuring full accessibility Collaborate with teachers and school personnel to support student IEPs and learning goals Participate in meetings and training relevant to interpreting or student needs Provide in-person support; this is an onsite-only assignment Assist with note-taking and classroom management as needed
