Skills & Qualifications:

Certification or demonstrable experience as a Sign Language Interpreter (school setting experience preferred) Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) Bilingual abilities are an asset, with a preference for candidates fluent in English and another language Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and a collaborative mindset Ability to adapt interpreting styles to various academic and extracurricular settings Comfortable working in fast-paced and dynamic environments

Key Responsibilities:

Provide accurate and effective interpretation for students, staff, and parents in classroom and school-related activities Support communication during lessons, meetings, assemblies, and other structured functions Consult with educators and staff to ensure accessible learning experiences for deaf and hard-of-hearing students Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional boundaries Assist with written translations and other language support as needed Foster a supportive and inclusive environment for all students Imagine making a daily impact by ensuring every students voice is heard and understood.
