Qualifications/Requirements:
Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) Previous experience as a school-based interpreter preferred Valid national or state interpreter certification (e.g., RID, EIPA) High level of professionalism, adaptability, and communication skills Ability to work effectively in diverse educational settings
Key Responsibilities:
Provide in-class and one-on-one sign language interpretation for students who are deaf or hard of hearing Collaborate with teachers and educational staff to ensure effective communication and inclusion Support the individualized educational needs of students as part of a multidisciplinary team Maintain confidential and accurate records in compliance with school policies
