Qualifications:
Proficient in American Sign Language (ASL) National Interpreter Certification (NIC) or Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) preferred or required based on state/district standards Experience working as an interpreter in educational settings Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to adapt to various classroom environments
Role Responsibilities:
Facilitate communication between deaf/hard-of-hearing students and staff using ASL Interpret classroom instructions, discussions, and school events Collaborate with teachers and support staff to enhance student inclusion Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards
