As a valued interpreter, youll work directly with students who are deaf or hard-of-hearing, facilitating classroom understanding and participation. Qualifications:

Valid and current Educational Sign Language Interpreter credentials/certification as required by state regulations Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and strong interpretation skills in educational settings Previous experience working in schools or with children preferred Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times Collaborative mindset and outstanding interpersonal communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

Interpret spoken instruction and classroom communication into sign language for students Work one-on-one or with small groups as indicated by each students Individualized Education Program (IEP) Cooperate closely with teachers, staff, and families to support student learning goals Assist in modifying or adapting materials as needed to meet the unique needs of each student Help foster a welcoming and inclusive classroom atmosphere
