Job Description

Make an impact by supporting students and empowering their communication in a vibrant K-12 school setting. This contract opportunity seeks a dedicated Sign Language Interpreter skilled in facilitating instruction and ensuring accessibility for Deaf and hard-of-hearing students. In this role, youll work with a diverse group of students and education professionals, providing seamless interpretation that enables full participation in both classroom and extracurricular activities.
Qualifications & Certifications:
Valid EIPA 3.5 or higher (Georgia) GAPSC certification Proven experience as a Sign Language Interpreter within educational environments Strong communication and interpersonal skills Passion for enhancing student learning and inclusion
Key Responsibilities:
Interpret classroom instruction, discussions, and events for Deaf and hard-of-hearing students Adapt to various subjects and grade levels (K-12) throughout the school week Collaborate closely with teachers, counselors, and support staff to foster an accessible learning environment Adhere to ethical standards and confidentiality requirements Provide feedback and support to both staff and students as needed
