Job Description
Category Schools - Sign Language Interpreter - Telehealth Job Type Contract A full-time Sign Language Interpreter role is available to provide telehealth and in-school interpretation services for a kindergarten student with limited ASL fluency. This contract position is based in Cusseta, GA, with a start date ASAP through May 21. Close collaboration with the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) team is essential to effectively support the student's communication needs and educational development.
Responsibilities:
Deliver qualified sign language interpretation in both telehealth settings and in-school environments Facilitate clear communication for a young student not fully fluent in ASL Work closely with DHH educators and specialists to adapt communication strategies Ensure interpretations support the student's academic and social engagement
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Sign Language Interpreter, particularly in educational settings Familiarity with telehealth interpretation services Ability to work effectively with early childhood students who have developing language skills Strong collaboration and communication skills with DHH professionals
