Decatur, GA Job Details Freelance 1 day ago Qualifications Foreign language proficiency Customer service Professional ethics HIPAA Medical interpretation Health information regulatory compliance Full Job Description We are currently seeking ONSITE Tigrinya Interpreters in Metro Atlanta with at least one year of interpreting experience.

THIS IS NOT A FULL-TIME POSITION.

This is a freelance position with assignments available within flexible business hours, Monday through Friday on an as needed basis.

Duties:

Provide interpreting services as an independent contractor in medical, legal and educational venues. Perform in accordance with the National Council on Interpreting in Health Care (NCIHC) Code of Ethics and HIPAA regulations. Perform interpreting duties in a professional manner. Provide excellent customer service.

Qualifications:

Must demonstrate fluency in English and a 2nd language. Must have flexibility to accept assignments during weekdays and business hours. Professional demeanor and appearance. Pass a written test on the Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice. Able to pass language proficiency in both languages. Able to comply with credentialing requirements for independent contractors working in healthcare facilities. 40-Hour Certificate of Interpreter Training. (Preferred not required) Must be punctual and responsible. Must have reliable transportation.
