Qualifications and Experience:
Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) Experience providing interpretation services in educational settings preferred Current national or state interpreter certification recognized by educational agencies (such as RID, EIPA, or similar) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Commitment to ethical standards and confidentiality
Responsibilities:
Accurately interpret spoken language into ASL and vice versa for students, staff, and families Facilitate communication during classroom instruction, meetings, and school activities Collaborate with teachers and support teams to ensure student comprehension and engagement Maintain professionalism, cultural sensitivity, and adaptability in diverse settings
