Available opportunities span two locations, with both full-day and morning-only schedules for maximum flexibility. Immediate start dates allow you to get involved right away, and assignments extend through May 2027providing both stability and professional growth.

Qualifications:

Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and experience in educational interpreting Hold one or more qualifying credentials: EIPA score of 3.5+ with ISBE Approval;

EIPA 3.03.4

with Interim ISBE Approval; or BEI, ISAS, CI/CT, or NIC credential with ISBE Approval Ability to facilitate clear, accurate communication between students, staff, and peers Professional, adaptable, and passionate about supporting student success Commitment to onsite interpreting; remote work is not available for these roles

Responsibilities:

Interpret classroom instruction, activities, and discussions Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and educational teams to ensure student participation Adapt signing methods and vocabulary as needed for individual learning needs Uphold confidentiality and FERPA/privacy standards at all times Engage in ongoing professional development and skill enhancement Experience the fulfillment of playing an indispensable role in students educational journeys while working in supportive, collaborative school communities.
