Key Qualifications and Experience:
Proficient in American Sign Language (ASL) Previous experience providing interpretation in educational or school settings Comfortable working 1:1 with children, especially in early childhood programs Ability to facilitate engagement in classroom activities and routines Professional certification or licensure as a Sign Language Interpreter preferred
Core Responsibilities:
Offer in-person sign language interpretation for a single DHH student to ensure full participation in lessons and classroom interactions Collaborate with teachers and staff to adapt assignments and activities as needed for language accessibility Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional standards of interpreting Help foster an inclusive, supportive learning atmosphere for student success Provide clear, accurate communication between student, educators, and peers throughout the school day
Position Details:
