Desired Qualifications:
Current national certification as a Sign Language Interpreter (RID, EIPA, or equivalent) Strong proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) Previous school-based or pediatric interpreting experience preferred Professionalism, adaptability, and excellent communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
Interpret classroom instruction and school activities between students, educators, and staff Foster understanding and inclusion for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students Provide confidential, accurate interpretation during meetings, IEPs, and parent conferences Support student participation in both academic and extracurricular contexts Collaborate with educational teams to optimize access and communication
