Qualifications:
Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) Experience working as a Sign Language Interpreter in an educational/interpreter setting preferred Ability to facilitate clear, effective communication between Deaf/Hard-of-Hearing students and staff National certification (e.g., EIPA, RID, or state equivalent) is highly regarded Flexibility and adaptability in a changing environment
Key Responsibilities:
Interpret classroom instruction, discussions, and events for Deaf/Hard-of-Hearing students Collaborate with teachers and support staff to ensure accessible communication Assist students in understanding curriculum content Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical interpreter standards Participate in IEP meetings and team planning as needed
