Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Current certification as a Sign Language Interpreter Demonstrated proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) Experience interpreting in an educational or school environment preferred Ability to cultivate rapport with students, staff, and families Strong communication and organizational skills Adherence to confidentiality standards and ethical guidelines
Key Responsibilities:
Provide ASL interpretation for students, teachers, and staff in classroom and extracurricular settings Facilitate effective communication to support educational goals Support individualized student needs as directed by educational teams Maintain accurate records of interpreted sessions Collaborate with educators and support personnel to promote inclusive learning environments
